Medical Description
Stamlo Beta tablet is a combination medicine that contains two active ingredients: amlodipine and atenolol. It is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and angina pectoris, a type of chest pain.
Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily. Atenolol is a beta-blocker that slows down the heart rate and reduces the force of heart contractions. Together, these two medicines work to lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke.
Patients with kidney and liver function problems and the elderly should be very cautious while taking this medicine. This medicine should be used in the exact dose and duration as prescribed. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own. A combination of atenolol and amlodipine as active substances is also present in the following tablets: Amlokind AT tablet, Amlopres AT 50, Amodep AT, Amlovas AT 50 and Amlopres AT 50.
Before starting the treatment with Stamlo Beta tablet, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.
