- If your child has a severe infection with a high temperature.

- If your child is allergic to neomycin or any other antibiotics.
- If your child is allergic to the vaccine used against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough,
- hepatitis B, polio, or Haemophilus influenzae type b.

- Your child was born prematurely.
- Your child tends to have seizures when they have a fever or if there is a history of this in the family.
