Other General Warnings

• You are on dialysis, heart failure, liver problem or kidney failure or disease.
• You have thyroid disorder, thyroid enlargement (Goitre).
• You have a stomach or gut disorder due to which content of your stomach takes too long to pass in the intestine (Gastroparesis).
• You have inflammatory bowel disorder, inflammation of the pancreas (Pancreatitis).
• This medicine should not be used if have type 1 diabetes (your body does not produce any insulin) or diabetic ketoacidosis (a complication of diabetes).
• You are experiencing dehydration (loss of fluid through vomiting or diarrhoea). It is important to avoid dehydration and drink plenty of water.

• Take this Solution For Injection as per the technique suggested by your doctor or nurse.
• Your doctor will show you the technique before you use it for the first time.
• Erly Solution For Injection is to be taken under the skin of the thigh, abdomen or upper arm.
• Do not take Erly Solution For Injection in a vein or in muscles.
• Pull a skin, fold up to take this Solution For Injection.
• Wait for at least 6 sec before removing the needle from the Solution For Injection site.
• Always rotate the site of Solution For Injection, do not take concurrent Solution For Injections at the same site.
• Do not share your Solution For Injection with other people or use it for injecting other medicines.

• Erly (liraglutide) should be used strictly according to your doctor’s instructions. The dose is usually started low and increased gradually to reduce side effects such as nausea. Do not change the dose or stop treatment on your own.
• Erly is administered as a subcutaneous injection once daily, preferably at the same time each day. It can be taken at any time of day, with or without meals, but maintaining a consistent routine helps ensure stable blood glucose control.
• Inject Erly under the skin of the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Rotate injection sites regularly to prevent skin irritation or the formation of lumps. Never inject into a vein or muscle, and always use a new needle for each injection.
• Unopened Erly pens should be stored in a refrigerator (2°C–8°C). Once in use, the pen can be stored at room temperature (below 30°C) or refrigerated, as advised, and should be protected from heat and light. Do not freeze the solution.
• Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and decreased appetite, especially during the initial phase of treatment. These usually improve with time. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience severe abdominal pain, signs of pancreatitis, or symptoms of low blood sugar when used with other antidiabetic medicines.
• For optimal results, Erly should be used in conjunction with a balanced diet, regular physical activity, and routine blood glucose monitoring. It is not a substitute for healthy lifestyle measures, but works best when combined with them.

Interactions with other medicines

• Frequent monitoring of blood clotting parameters is suggested in individuals taking blood thinners such as warfarin concomitantly with Erly Solution For Injection.
• Blood pressure-lowering medicines such as insulin and sulphonylureas (glimepiride or glibenclamide) may lead to a significant reduction in blood glucose and hence patient should be warned of the signs and symptoms of low blood glucose ( cold sweat, headache, fast heartbeat, feeling sick, tremors)
• Any other medicine, supplement or herbals, if you are taking or might take, should be informed to your doctor in order to avoid any possible interaction.
