Medical Description
Amlokind AT tablet is a prescription medication used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and chest pain (angina). By lowering blood pressure and improving blood circulation, this medicine helps reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other heart-related complications. It also alleviates chest pain by improving oxygen delivery to the heart.
This tablet contains two active ingredients: Atenolol, a beta-blocker that slows the heart rate and reduces the heart’s workload, and Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow. Together, they provide more effective blood pressure control than when taken separately.
Amlokind AT should be taken exactly as your doctor prescribes. Take it at the same time each day for optimal results. Do not skip doses, stop the medication suddenly, or increase the dose without medical advice, as this could worsen your condition.
Some individuals may experience mild side effects, such as swelling in the ankles or feet, dizziness, headache, a slow heartbeat, or fatigue while taking Amlokind AT. These side effects are generally temporary, but if they persist or become severe, you should contact your doctor immediately. Always inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, breastfeeding, or taking other medicines.
Other medicines containing Atenolol and Amlodipine include Stamlo Beta 50, Amlopres AT 50, Amodep AT, Amlovas AT 50, and Amlopres AT 50. Alongside taking Amlokind AT, lifestyle modifications such as eating a healthy diet, exercising regularly, reducing salt intake, managing stress, quitting smoking, and limiting alcohol can enhance heart health and blood pressure management.
