Amoxyclav 625 tablet is used to treat various bacterial infections, including those of the lungs, airways, ears, urinary tract, skin, bones, joints, soft tissue, and teeth. This combination medicine contains amoxicillin and clavulanic acid, both of which belong to the class of antibiotics.
You should take Amoxyclav Tablet as directed by your doctor for the prescribed duration. It is advisable to take this tablet with meals to prevent stomach upset. Always complete the entire course of treatment with this medicine, as incomplete treatment may result in treatment failure and increase the risk of re-infection. Please inform your doctor if you are allergic to any antibiotic medications, are taking any other medications, or have an existing medical condition.

- If you have a history of severe allergic reactions to any other antibiotic, such as cephalosporins, monobactam, or carbapenem.

- You have diarrhoea and stomach pain even after stopping treatment with Amoxyclav 625 tablet.
Directions for Use
- Amoxyclav Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water, do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
- It should be taken after your meal to avoid stomach discomforts. It would be best if you take it at a fixed time for optimal results and should not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor.

Interactions with other medicines
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbal products your child is currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interactions.
- There is an increased risk of bleeding when taken with medicines used to thin the blood like warfarin, acenocoumarol, it is advised to monitor the blood tests like PT-INR regularly.
- Increased side effects when taken with methotrexate, which is used in the treatment of cancer.
- Medicines used to treat gout, such as allopurinol or probenecid, and those used to modify an immune response during an organ transplant, like mycophenolate mofetil, should be used cautiously with Amoxyclav Tablet.
