RYBELSUS 3MG TABLET

• Rybelsus tablet is contraindicated in patients with:
• A personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or in patients with Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).
• A known allergy to semaglutide or any of the excipients in Rybelsus tablet.

• Nausea
• Diarrhea
• Vomiting
• Constipation
• Abdominal pain
• Headache
• Fatigue
• Dyspepsia
• Dizziness
• Abdominal distension
• Eructation (belching)
• Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) in patients with type 2 diabetes
• Flatulence (gas)
• Gastroenteritis
• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
• Nasopharyngitis (runny nose or sore throat)

• Thyroid tumours: Tell your healthcare provider if you get a lump or swelling in your neck, hoarseness, trouble swallowing, or shortness of breath.
• Inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis): Stop using Rybelsus tablet and call your healthcare provider right away if you have severe pain in your stomach area (abdomen) that will not go away, with or without vomiting.
• Gallbladder problems: Rybelsus tablet may lead to gallbladder issues, including gallstone formation. Some gallbladder problems need surgery. Call your healthcare provider if you experience symptoms such as upper stomach pain, fever, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), or clay-coloured stools.
• Increased risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia): Especially in those who also take medicines to treat type 2 diabetes.
• Kidney problems (kidney failure): In people with kidney problems, diarrhoea, nausea, and vomiting may cause fluid loss (dehydration) and worsen kidney problems.
• Serious allergic reactions: Stop using Rybelsus tablet and seek medical help immediately if you experience any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat; difficulty breathing or swallowing; severe rash or itching; dizziness, fainting, or a rapid heartbeat.
• Vision changes in people with type 2 diabetes.
• Increased heart rate

Other General Warnings

• Have a history of pancreatitis.
• Have gallbladder problems.
• Have kidney problems or are at risk of dehydration.
• Have diabetes-related eye problems.
• Take insulin or sulfonylureas.
• Are planning surgery or a procedure requiring general anaesthesia or deep sedation.
• Develop severe or persistent stomach symptoms.
• Develop symptoms of a serious allergic reaction.
• Notice a fast or racing heartbeat at rest.

• Rybelsus tablet is injected subcutaneously (under the skin) in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm.
• Use it once a week, on the same day each week, at any time of day.
• Rotate the injection site each time you inject.

• Store the Rybelsus tablet in the refrigerator between 2°C to 8°C.
• Do not freeze Rybelsus tablet.
• Keep Rybelsus in the original carton to protect it from light.

• Rybelsus is a once-weekly injection. Always administer it on the same day each week, and carefully follow your doctor's prescribed dose increase schedule to minimize side effects. Do not raise your dose faster than advised.
• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and constipation are common, especially when beginning treatment. Drink plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration. If side effects are severe or persistent, contact your doctor immediately. Eating smaller meals, avoiding greasy foods, and staying hydrated can help.
• Be aware of signs of serious side effects like severe abdominal pain (pancreatitis), symptoms of gallbladder issues, severe allergic reactions, or changes in mood/thoughts (e.g., depression, suicidal ideation). Report any concerning symptoms to your doctor straight away.
• Keep your healthcare provider informed about all medications you're taking, any new or worsening health conditions, and how you're feeling while taking Rybelsus tablet. Regular follow-ups are crucial to monitor your progress and address any potential issues.
