Medical Description

Pantocid DSR capsule is an acidity medicine. It is a combination medicine containing pantoprazole and domperidone as the main components. It is used to treat acid reflux, also known as GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). Pantocid DSR helps relieve the symptoms of heartburn, indigestion, chest pain, discomfort, and irritation associated with acid reflux. Pantocid DSR is also used for the treatment of peptic ulcers, stomach discomfort, acidity, etc.

GERD is a condition in which content from the stomach and acid flows back to the food pipe, causing irritation and heartburn. Pantakind Dsr, Pan D, Pantodac Dsr, and Pantosec Dsr are some other capsules with pantoprazole and domperidone. This medicine works by reducing the formation of acid in the stomach. It also improves gut movement, which prevents the backflow of acid to the food pipe.

Pantocid DSR capsules should only be used under medical supervision. The dose, duration and frequency of taking this medicine will be decided by your doctor. It should be taken in doses and duration as prescribed.

Along with taking medicine on time, certain lifestyle modifications can help you manage your acidity problem better. Try eating smaller meals, eating slowly, avoiding overeating, and lying down immediately after having a meal. Limit your intake of alcohol, avoid smoking, and maintain a healthy weight. Consult the doctor to understand what works best for you.
