Pantocid 40 MG Description
Pantocid tablet is an acidity medicine. This tablet is used for the treatment of ulcers, heartburn, acid reflux disease and acidity problem. Pantocid 40 contains pantoprazole as its active ingredient. An ulcer is a sore in the lining of your stomach or intestine that is caused due to digestive acid present in your stomach. It is characterised by burning pain. Pantoprazole reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach. Thus, prevents ulcers and reduces the backflow of acid that causes heartburn and acidity problem. Pantocid works by blocking the pumps in the stomach wall for the production of acid. This medicine should be taken as prescribed by the doctor. Pantocid 40 tablet should usually be taken first thing in the morning or at least an hour before a meal.
