Pantocid 40 MG Description

Pantocid 40 tablet is a medication that helps reduce acid in the stomach. It is prescribed for the treatment of various conditions such as peptic ulcers, gastric ulcers, gastritis, acid reflux disease, heartburn, and acidity problems. The active ingredient in Pantocid 40 is pantoprazole, which reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach. Doing so helps prevent ulcers and reduces the backflow of acid that causes heartburn and acidity problems. Pantoprazole works by blocking the pumps in the stomach wall responsible for acid production.

A few other medicines with pantoprazole as their main ingredient are Pantodac 40mg tablet, Pantosec 40mg tablet, Pantakind 40mg tablet, Pantop 40mg tablet and Pan 40mg tablet. Pantocid 40 tablets should be taken as prescribed by the doctor. They should usually be taken first thing in the morning or at least an hour before a meal. Do not miss any dose or take them more often than prescribed by your doctor.

Along with taking medicine on time, certain lifestyle modifications can help you manage your acidity problem better. Try eating smaller meals, eating slowly, avoiding overeating, and lying down immediately after having a meal. Limit your intake of alcohol, avoid smoking, and maintain a healthy weight. Consult the doctor to understand what works best for you.
