Medical Description
Levipil 500 is a medication used to control seizures in people with epilepsy. It works by reducing abnormal brain activity. Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor, at the same time each day, with or without food. This medication is typically used long-term, and it's crucial to continue taking it as directed to prevent seizures. Common side effects, such as dizziness, headaches, and fatigue, may occur, especially at the beginning of treatment, but often improve over time. Some side effects may require medical attention.

Directions for Use

Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- It has been observed that taking levetiracetam and methotrexate together reduces methotrexate clearance, resulting in higher/longer blood methotrexate concentrations that are potentially hazardous.
- Co-administration of levetiracetam and a laxative called macrogol may decrease the efficacy of levetiracetam. Hence, use macrogol one hour before or after using levetiracetam.
