- Schizophrenia
- Tourette Syndrome
Contraindications
- Talendol 5mg Tab is contraindicated in the following cases:
- If you suffer from heart problems such as QT prolongation, which is a heart rhythm problem
- If you have acute alcohol abuse
- If you suffer from CNS depression
- If you have dementia
- If you get a stroke
- If you get seizures
- If you have diabetes
- If you have a kidney problem
- If you have liver problems
Side effects
- The common side effects associated with Talendol 5mg Tab are as follows:
- Weight gain
- Feeling agitated
- Depression
- Difficulty sleeping
- Headache
- Constipation
- Muscle stiffness
- Sleepiness
- Urinary retention
- Abnormality of voluntary movements

- Swallow Talendol 5mg Tabis orally without chewing or crushing the tablet.
- Do not double the dose of Talendol 5mg Tab; make sure to take it as suggested by your doctor.
- Do not take Talendol 5mg Tab on a continuous daily use until recommended by your doctor.
- Do not take Talendol 5mg Tab more frequently than the recommended dose.

Interactions with other medicines
- Monoamine oxidase inhibitors such as isocarboxazid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine - as it may cause serious interactions
- Antipsychotics such as chlorpromazine, thioridazine, trifluoperazine, bupropion as they may alter the blood levels of antipsychotic medications
- Medication that is used to treat stomach ulcers, such as cimetidine as it may reduce the effect of the medicine
- Medicine that has thyroid hormone as they may reduce the effects of the medicine
- Anti-diabetic medications such as tolazamide because sugar levels may be affected
- Opioid pain and cough relievers such as codeine as they may make you very sleepy
- Medicines for sleep and anxiety such as alprazolam, lorazepam
