Ecosprin 75 Tablet

• Reduce the risk of heart attack in people who have had a previous heart attack or are at increased risk of having one
• Reduce the risk of stroke in some individuals
• Reduce the risk of transient ischaemic attacks (mini strokes)
• Help reduce the risk of  blood clots from forming in blood vessels
• Reduce the risk of death in patients who have had a heart attack or who have unstable angina (sudden chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart)

• Known allergy to aspirin, salicylates, or any ingredient in the medication
• A history of asthma, nasal polyps, or allergic reactions triggered by aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
• Active stomach ulcers or gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding
• Bleeding disorders or conditions associated with an increased risk of bleeding
• Use with caution in patients with gout, as low-dose aspirin may increase uric acid levels.  (a condition that causes sudden attacks of pain, swelling, or stiffness in the joints),
• Sever kidney or liver impairment.

• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Heartburn
• Stomach pain
• Stomach upset
• Increased tendency to bleed

Other General Warnings

• You have a planned surgery (even minor surgeries like dental extraction) or have had surgery recently, as there is a risk of bleeding.
• Tell your doctor if you have asthma before taking this medicine.
• Inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers, bleeding problems, or GI disease.
• Tell your doctor if you are scheduled for surgery or dental procedures, as aspirin may increase the risk of bleeding.
• Use with caution in patients with kidney or liver disease.

• Always take this medication according to your doctor’s instructions:
• Take the medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.
• Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet unless your doctor advises you to.
• Take the medicine at the same time each day for the best results.
• Continue taking the medicine for as long as your doctor prescribes.

• Store at room temperature (away from excess heat or moisture).
• Keep the medicine in its original packaging until use.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not use after the expiry date.
• Throw away unused medicine according to local regulations or your doctor’s advice.

• Tell your doctor if you are allergic to aspirin, other medicines, foods, or any ingredients in this medicine.
• Inform your doctor about all medicines, vitamins, supplements, and herbal products you are taking.
• If you take aspirin regularly for heart attack or stroke prevention, consult your doctor before taking ibuprofen for pain or fever.
• Tell your doctor if you have asthma, nasal polyps, stomach ulcers, bleeding problems, kidney disease, or liver disease.
• Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
• Tell your doctor or dentist that you are taking aspirin before any surgery or dental procedure.
• Ask a doctor before giving aspirin to a child or teenager, especially if they have a viral illness, such as chickenpox or flu.
• If you regularly consume alcohol, talk to your doctor before taking aspirin because it may increase the risk of stomach bleeding.

Overdose

• Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose based on your condition and treatment goals.
• Symptoms of an overdose may include ringing in the ears, dizziness, confusion, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, rapid breathing, and sweating. Severe overdose may require urgent medical treatment. In case of an overdose, seek immediate medical attention or contact a doctor immediately.

Missed a Dose

• The active ingredient in this medicine works by:
• reducing the ability of platelets to stick together and form blood clots.
• irreversibly inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, reducing the production of thromboxane A₂, a chemical involved in blood clot formation.
• helping reduce the risk of blood clot-related events, such as heart attack and stroke.
