Medical Description

Retino AC gel is used for the treatment of acne and pimples. Retino AC gel contains a combination of two medicines clindamycin and tretinoin as an active ingredient. It is meant only for external appl
ication and should be applied exactly as recommended by your doctor. During the treatment with the Retino AC gel, it is recommended to avoid being exposed to sunlight for too long after applying this medicine. You can use sunscreens with at least SPF 15 before going outdoors. Drink plenty of water and fluids to keep yourself hydrated, as it can make your skin dry. Use the Retino AC gel exactly as instructed by the doctor. It may take a few weeks to improve the symptoms but you need to complete the entire course of the medicine. Do not stop the medicine suddenly, even if you feel better. Before using this medicine, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.

Contraindications of Retino Ac Gel

  • If you are allergic to Clindamycin, Tretinoin or any other components of Retino AC gel.
  • If you have a history of inflammatory bowel disease or any other problems with your intestines.
  • If you have ever developed diarrhoea after using any antibiotic medicine.
  • If you are pregnant or are planning a pregnancy.
  • If you or any of your family member has skin cancer.
  • If you are suffering from any other skin conditions.

Side effects of Retino Ac Gel

Skin peeling, burning sensation, itching, irritation, redness of the skin, dry skin at the area where the Retino AC gel is applied

Pregnancy

Can I apply Retino AC gel during pregnancy?

How Does It Work?

  • Retino AC gel works by the combined action of its two components - Clindamycin and Tretinoin.
  • Clindamycin is an antibiotic, which works by inhibiting growth and multiplication of acne-causing bacteria.
