Description

Esomac I V powder for injection is a medicine used to treat conditions like stomach ulcers, heartburn, gastritis, and infections caused by Helicobacter pylori. It may also help prevent cancer in the oesophagus (food pipe). The main ingredient in this medication is esomeprazole. This medication is only given in hospitals by a doctor or nurse. Do not try to take it yourself.

This medicine works by reducing the acid in your stomach. It belongs to a group of medicines called proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). It helps relieve symptoms like pain, acidity, and indigestion. Let your doctor know if you are allergic to PPIs (like omeprazole or pantoprazole) or are taking HIV medicines or antifungal drugs, as they may interact with them.

Some people may have side effects such as stomach pain, nausea, constipation, diarrhoea, or headache. Rarely, serious allergic skin reactions or sensitivity to sunlight may occur. If you notice any unusual rash, discontinue use of the medicine and consult your doctor immediately. Also, tell your doctor if you’ve had stomach surgery, liver or kidney problems, or are over 55 and need to use this long-term.

Always store the medicine below 25°C, away from sunlight, children, and pets. Do not freeze it; discard any unused portion. An overdose may cause nausea, drowsiness, or headache. Seek immediate help if this happens. Avoid alcohol in large amounts, and do not drive if you feel dizzy or drowsy after taking this medicine.
