Ampilox Kid Strip Of 10 Tablets
Description
Ampilox Kid Tablet is an antibiotic medicine that contains a combination of Ampicillin and Cloxacillin. The combination helps provide a broad spectrum of activity against different types of bacteria.
The mechanism of action for this medicine involves targeting and inhibiting the formation of the bacterial outer membrane. Both Ampicillin and Cloxacillin belong to the penicillin class of antibiotics and work by interfering with the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, which is vital for the bacteria's survival. By destroying this protective covering, the medicine effectively kills the bacteria responsible for the infection, helping your body to recover. You should not take this medicine if you are allergic to Ampicillin, Cloxacillin, or any of its ingredients. It is also contraindicated if you have a known allergy to similar antibiotics such as Cefixime, Cefpodoxime, or Amoxicillin, as there is a risk of cross-reactivity. This medicine is strictly for internal use and must never be used for eye infections; direct eye contact should be avoided. Potential side effects can include gastrointestinal issues like nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea, as well as skin allergies presenting as itching, rashes, red bumps, and blisters.
