Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
- Wikoryl tablet is a combination medication that treats common cold symptoms such as blocked nose, runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, and congestion or stuffiness. It aids in the loosening of thick mucus, making coughing easier. This facilitates the movement of air in and out.
- Paracetamol inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are responsible for pain and inflammation and also act on heat-regulating centres and reduce body heat to control fever.
- Chlorpheniramine acts by blocking the action of histamine, a natural substance produced by the body during an allergic reaction.
- Phenylephrine is a vasoconstrictor. It shrinks or constricts the blood vessels in the nasal passage and improves congestion.
