Sympta 30 MG Description
Sympta Tablet is a prescription medicine indicated for a person suffering from depression and anxiety. Depression is a mental disorder wherein a person feels hopeless and loses interest that disrupts
the usual routine. Anxiety is also a mental disorder when a person has persistent fear and feels restless in routine without any specific reason. It is also prescribed to a person who has pain and tingling because of the damage caused by diabetes. It can be used for Fibromyalgia, which leads to pain, muscle stiffness, and difficulty sleeping. Sympta Tablets has Duloxetine as the main ingredient. Duloxetine works by increasing the level of certain chemicals in the brain that further acts as an antidepressant and relieves the pain. It is known to exhibit certain side effects like Nausea, Vomiting, Constipation, Diarrhoea and Stomach pain. The side effects tend to resolve on their own in a few days. However, please consult your doctor if the side effects are severe or persistent. Sympta tablet is taken as per the doctor’s recommended dose only. Please do not discontinue the medicine without consulting the doctor.

Contraindications of Sympta 30 MG
- Do not take Sympta Tablet if-
- You are allergic or hypersensitive to Duloxetine.
- You have taken Monoamine Oxidase (MAO) Inhibitors like selegiline within 14 days of this medicine.
- You are suffering from glaucoma (eye condition).
- You have suicidal thoughts.

Other General Warnings
- You have a history of kidney, liver, heart, or mental disorders.
- You or any family member has a history of depression, bipolar disorder or has had suicidal thoughts.
- You want to stop or alter the dose of Sympta tablets. Kindly do not discontinue the medicine without consulting your doctor.
- You have symptoms of serotonin which can be confusion, dilated pupils, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, tremors, sweating, fast heartbeat.
- You notice an increase in your blood pressure.
- You notice sexual changes like change in libido, erections or orgasms.

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use of Sympta 30 MG
- Sympta tablets should be taken only with a doctor’s recommendation. It is generally advised to take medicine for a longer time, and the schedule has to be maintained.
- You might not see any effects for up to four weeks or so; kindly continue taking medicine.
- Sympta tablets can be taken with or without food. You need to adhere to the proper routine, and the timings of taking medication should be consistent.
- Do not stop taking the Sympta tablet without consulting the doctor.
- The tablet has to be consumed orally with water. Sympta tablets should not be manipulated in any way by either crushing or breaking them.

Interactions with other medicines
- Sympta tablet tends to interact with the following medicines-
- Selegiline (MAO inhibitors), Alprazolam (anti-anxiety medicine)- can increase the severity of side effects
- Warfarin (blood thinner), Aspirin (painkiller)- can increase the possibility of bruising or bleeding
- Amitriptyline, Desipramine (antidepressant)- can affect the excretion of Sympta from the body
- Cimetidine (anti-allergic medicine), ciprofloxacin (antibiotic)- can decrease the metabolism of Sympta tablet
- Thyrodiazine (medicine for mental disorders)- can increase the severity and risk of orthostatic hypotension. It refers to the lowering of blood pressure after suddenly getting up from standing or lying....
- Hydrocodone (used in cough or pain) - It increases the depressive effect on the nervous system.
Interactions with food items
- Sympta tablets containing Duloxetine are not known to interact with any particular food item.
