Medical Description
Rablet 20 tablets contain rabeprazole, a medication that reduces stomach acid production. They are used to treat conditions like heartburn, acid reflux disease, and stomach ulcers. Rabeprazole works by blocking the action of acid-producing cells in the stomach lining. It is generally recommended to take Rablet 20 tablets 30 minutes before meals in the morning.
Rablet 20 Tablet should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. Common side effects include headache, dizziness, digestive issues, and weakness, but most subside without intervention. However, consult your doctor if they persist. Inform your doctor about any existing stomach tumors or liver conditions. Long-term use may lead to low magnesium and vitamin B12 levels and increase fracture risk. Avoid alcohol while taking Rablet 20 Tablet. Consult your doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid driving if experiencing dizziness or drowsiness. This medication is not recommended for children.
Razo 20 tablet, Cyra 20 tablet, Veloz 20 tablet, Rabekind 20 tablet, and Rabium 20 tablet are some other brands containing rabeprazole as a main component.

How Does It Work?
- In an average healthy individual, specific cells in the stomach get stimulated and release acid after intake of food. In certain individuals, the stomach wall secretes an excess of acids and lead to acid-related stomach problems such as ulcers.
- Rablet 20 tablet blocks the activity of certain processes in the stomach walls known as proton pumps thus acid release in the stomach decreases and this helps in the healing of ulcers and improves symptoms such as acidity and heartburn.
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Rablet 20 tablets may interact with other medicines, discuss with your doctor about all the medicines, supplements or herbal preparations you are taking. Also, you should inform your doctor if you have a planned surgery or vaccination schedule.
- Concomitant use of Rablet along with medicines used to treat HIV infections like Atazanavir, Nelfinavir, and Rilpivirine or the use of antacids should be avoided as rabeprazole may decrease the effectiveness of these medicines.
- There can be increased chances of getting side effects if you are taking a medicine containing Digoxin used to treat heart failure along with Omee Capsule, especially in elderly patients.
- Concomitant use of anticoagulants like Warfarin can increase the risk of bleeding and ulcers.
- Other medicines like Methotrexate and antifungals such as Ketoconazole or Itraconazole should be used cautiously, as they can alter the effects of the Rablet 20 tablet.
