It is also used to treat stomach and intestinal ulcers associated with acid reflux disease and Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), also known as acid reflux condition, where the stomach acid moves back up to the food pipe along with the contents of the stomach, characterized by heartburn, chest pain, burning, pain and regurgitation of food or sour liquid due to irritation of the stomach.

Veloz 20 tablet contains rabeprazole as the active ingredient. Rabeprazole in Veloz 20 acts by blocking the action of micropumps in the stomach wall, which is responsible for acid production.
