Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant use of beclomethasone or theophylline increases respiratory function
- Concomitant use of beta-blockers inhibits bronchodilator effect of the syrup
- Concomitant use of xanthine or diuretics increases risk of low potassium levels in blood
- Concomitant use of digitalis increases digitalis toxicity
- Concomitant use of other bronchodilators and adrenergic medicines increases the effect of the syrup
- Concomitant use of monoamine oxidase inhibitors or tricyclic antidepressants increases the effect on heart
- Concomitant use of haloperidol increases the blood levels of haloperidol
- Concomitant use of ritonavir, cenobamate, or pitolisant decreases the blood levels of ambroxol
- Ambroxol decreases the metabolism of tucatinib
