Preface Tablet is an antihypertensive medication that contains ramipril as its active ingredient. It is used to treat high blood pressure and to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke. Ramipril T

ablet works by lowering elevated blood pressure. Take this medication in the doses and for the duration prescribed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. To achieve optimal therapeutic benefits, you should take Preface at the same time every day. Do not stop taking Tablet Preface, as doing so may lead to a hypertensive crisis or even heart failure.

Uses of Preface 5 MG

Preface Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure.
It is also used to prevent and treat certain heart diseases like heart attack, heart failure.

Contraindications of Preface 5 MG

If you are allergic to ramipril or any other ingredients present in Preface Tablet.
If you have facial swelling.
If you have any kind of pre-existing medical condition such as low blood pressure, diabetes, liver or kidney problem etc.
If you are in the 2nd or 3rd trimester of pregnancy.
If you have kidney artery stenosis (where the blood supply to the kidney is obstructed).
If you are on sacubitril/valsartan therapy (used to treat heart failure).

Pregnancy

Breast Feeding

Can I take Preface Tablet while breastfeeding?

It is not advised to take Preface Tablets while breastfeeding due to its harmful effects on the newborn baby.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Preface Tablet?

Preface may make you feel dizzy or tired. Individuals must avoid driving or operating heavy machinery immediately after consuming this medicine.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Preface Tablet?

Avoid consuming alcohol while taking Preface as alcohol can affect the concentration of this medicine in your body and can also affect its desired action.

Other General Warnings

You have low sodium levels and high potassium levels in the blood.
