Omey Dm Strip Of 10 Capsules Description

Omey Dm capsule is an anti-reflux medicine and is used to treat gastrointestinal reflux disease (GERD). In GERD the acid from the stomach comes up to the food pipe. The backflow of acid irritates the

lining of the food pipe and leads to chest pain and heartburn. Omey Dm capsule contains domperidone and omeprazole. Take as suggested by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. Take the medicine before at least 30 mins before food.

Omey Dm capsule is used to treat GERD (Gastrointestinal reflux disease), not responding to omeprazole alone. It relieves symptoms like heartburn, chest discomfort or acidity.

Contraindications of Omey Dm Strip Of 10 Capsules

If you are allergic to omeprazole, domperidone, other ingredients of Omey Dm capsule.
If you are taking an anti-HIV medicine like nelfinavir.
If you suffer from bleeding, obstruction in the stomach or intestine.
If you have liver disorder or impairment.
If you suffer from prolactin pituitary tumours (tumour of the pituitary gland).
If you suffer from a condition like heart failure, heart rhythm problems, electrolyte or salt imbalance.
Medicines that alter heart rhythm must not be taken along. If you are not sure which are these medicines, ask the doctor.

Low levels of vitamin D and calcium results in an increased risk of osteoporosis.
You suffer from low levels of vitamin B12. It reduces the absorption of vitamin B12 after long term use.

How Does It Work?

The proton pump in the stomach secrets stomach acids. Omeprazole binds to the proton pump in stomach cells and blocks acid secretion.
Domperidone increases the motility in the stomach and intestines thus acid does not reflux back into the food pipe.
