Mebex Tablet contains Mebendazole which is an anti-worm medicine. It is used to treat infection caused by worms. Mebex kills the worm by depriving them of glucose and energy source. This medicine is
not recommended for use in children below 2 years of age. You may experience stomach discomfort or pain, gas and diarrhoea after taking this medicine. If you experience any other effect after taking this medicine consult your doctor immediately.

How Does It Work?
Mebendazole in Mebex Tablet works by inhibiting or blocking the utilisation of glucose by the worm thereby causing decreased ATP formation and depletion of the energy source in the worm.
Directions for Use of Mebex 500 MG
Mebex Tablets should be taken as directed by your doctor. Swallow it whole with a glass of water. It would be best if you take it at a fixed time for optimal results and should not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor....

Interactions with other medicines
- You should always tell the doctor if you are taking any other medicines, herbal preparation and supplements to avoid any interaction with Mebex Tablets.
- Medicine used to reduce stomach acidity (antacids) like Cimetidine can increase the levels of this medicine in the body and can lead to undesirable effects.
- Medicine used to treat bacterial or parasitic infection (antibiotics) like Metronidazole can lead to serious allergic reactions of skin if taken along with these medicines and hence concomitant use should be avoided....

- Store Mebex Tablets at room temperature in a cool and dry place.

Overdose
- Symptoms of overdose of this medicine include stomach pain or cramps, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea.

Missed a Dose
If you missed any dose of the Mebex Tablet take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one....
