Gabapin NT tablet is used to manage neuropathic pain, which occurs due to nerve damage or irritation. It contains gabapentin and nortriptyline as its active ingredients. Gabapentin works by calming overactive nerves, helping to reduce pain signals, while nortriptyline acts on the central nervous system to further relieve discomfort associated with nerve damage. Together, these ingredients provide effective relief from persistent neuropathic pain.
Gabapin NT is commonly prescribed for conditions such as diabetic neuropathy, post-herpetic neuralgia, and nerve pain resulting from injuries or compression. Other tablets with similar compositions include Pentanerv Nt tablet, Laregab Nt tablet, Gabator Nt tablet and Doloneuron Nt 400mg tablet. The combination of gabapentin and nortriptyline helps address both nerve-specific pain and the secondary effects on the nervous system.

- If you are taking certain medicines (MAO Inhibitors) for some psychiatric disorders.
- If you have experienced a recent heart attack, blockage in the heart, the disturbed rhythm of the heart.

Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Certain medicines can affect the way Gabapin Nt 400mg Tablets work, and this tablet itself can affect the action of certain medicines when taken together.
- Concomitant use with medicines for psychiatric disorders, such as moclobemide, phenelzine, iproniazid, isocarboxazid, nialamide, or selegiline (used to treat Parkinson's disease) may lead to serious side effects (serotonin syndrome).
- Concomitant use with cough and cold medicines containing ephedrine, isoprenaline, noradrenaline, phenylephrine, and phenylpropanolamine may increase the side effects of drowsiness.
- You should also tell the doctor if you take or have recently taken medicine that may affect the heart's rhythm.
- Water pills as furosemide medicines to treat irregular heartbeats, like quinidine and sotalol, should be used cautiously.
- Some medicines may affect the way Gabapin NT works, or the medicine itself may reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
