Pregnancy

Can I take G Injection during pregnancy?

Your doctor will recommend G Injection during pregnancy only if you have a life-threatening condition.

Breast Feeding

Can I take G Injection while breastfeeding?

No, you should not take G Injection while breastfeeding unless your doctor advises it. This is due to a small amount of the medication passing into breast milk.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed G Injection?

G Injection can cause dizziness or vertigo as the side effect; hence, avoid driving after taking this injection.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with G Injection?

Gentamicin and alcohol may cause dizziness and drowsiness. Hence it should be avoided.

You have Parkinson's disease or any other neuromuscular condition

Mode of Action of G 80 MG

How Does It Work?

Gentamicin is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the synthesis of proteins in the bacteria which ultimately kills them.

G Injection is injected by a doctor or nurse

Interactions of G 80 MG

Interactions with other medicines

Gentamicin increases the effects of ether and other muscle relaxants.
Concomitant administration of methoxyflurane can damage the kidneys.
Concomitant administration of Indomethacin increases blood levels of gentamicin in newborn babies.
Oral anticoagulants and gentamicin can cause clotting problems.
Concomitant administration of neostigmine or pyridostigmine can cause the opposite effect to Gentamicin.
Concomitant administration of Botulinum toxin increases toxicity.
Concomitant administration of Cephalothin, cephaloridine, colistin, vancomycin, viomycin, streptomycin, amphotericin B, cisplatin, or loop diuretics can cause hearing problems or toxicity in kidneys.

Do not Store above 25°C
Do not refrigerate or freeze
Protect from light
Do not throw the contents of G Injection in wastewater
Do not use the injection after expiry date
