Medical Description

Dulane M is prescribed for treating depression, anxiety disorders, peripheral neuropathy, muscle pain, and bone pain. The active ingredient in Dulane is duloxetine. In addition, it has vitamin B12, also known as mecobalamin. This medicine is an antidepressant. Dulane M increases the levels of dopamine in the brain. This helps calm your mind, elevates mood, and relieves nerve and muscle pain. In addition, the ingredient mecobalamin helps in treating vitamin deficiency.

Directions for Use

  • You should use Dulane M as suggested by your doctor.

  • Take the capsule as a whole with water or juice.
  • The capsule should not be opened up unless swallowing the capsule is not possible due to specific reasons. Consult your doctor if you have difficulty swallowing.

Storage and disposal

Store the medicine at room temperature in a cool, dry place far away from heat and wetness. Keep out of reach of children. Keep the medicine in the same strip packing. Overdose with Dulane M may happen due to accidental intake, taking a double dose due to a missed dose or consuming more tablets intentionally. Symptoms of overdosage may include nausea, vomiting, low blood pressure, high temperature, increased reflexes, excessive drowsiness, confusion, unsteadiness, restlessness, agitation, stiffness of muscles, convulsions, fast and irregular heartbeat, difficulty in passing urine or stopping of urine, heart failure, breathing issue, and comatose condition. Seek urgent medical help immediately.

Missed a Dose

Dulane M should be taken according to the schedule advised by the doctor. If you have forgotten a dose, take it as soon as you recall it provided there is a sufficient time gap from the next dose. If the next dose time is close, then take the scheduled dose. Do not take two doses together; it may result in serious side effects.

Mode of Action

How Does It Work?

Dulane M works by exerting double treatment action on certain chemical messengers in the brain. Its action on the transporting chemicals increases the levels of three hormones in the brain known as serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine. The increased levels of these hormones bring elevation in mood, remove sadness, nervousness and anxiety. It also provides relief from nerve, muscle and joint pain by inhibiting the excessive pain signal from reaching the brain.

  • Certain medicines act as central nervous system depressants, such as barbiturates, benzodiazepines, or general anaesthetics.
  • Medicines used to reduce nervous tension such as thioridazine, thiothixene, clozapine, chlorpromazine, and risperidone.
  • Medicines used for treating high blood pressure such as reserpine, clonidine, guanethidine, alpha methyldopa
