Zifi 200 MG Description

Zifi 200 tablet is an antibiotic medication. It is used to treat bacterial infections of the urinary tract, lungs, throat, airways, tonsils, middle ear, and cervical/urethral infections. It is also used to treat typhoid fever.

This medicine contains cefixime as its active ingredient. Zifi 200 tablet works by interfering with the synthesis of bacteria's cell walls, leading to the death of the bacteria responsible for the infection.

It must be taken as prescribed by a doctor. Zifi 200 should not be used for kidney stones and to treat acne. The dose and duration of the treatment with this medicine will be decided by your doctor. It will vary depending on the severity of the infection and other individual parameters. Ceftas 200, Mahacef 200 and Cefolac 200 also have cefixime as their active medicine. Do not stop taking this medicine if you feel better within a few days.

Zifi 200 tablet or any antibiotic should not be used when you are not sure if the infection is due to bacteria. The unnecessary use of antibiotics can make them ineffective for future treatment. Complete the course of antibiotics as prescribed by the doctor, or it may lead to relapse or return of the infection.

Before starting this tablet, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. Also, inform him about your detailed medical history & the medicines and supplements you take.
