Omee D Capsule
Description
Omee D Capsule is a prescription medication used to treat conditions related to excessive stomach acid and delayed stomach emptying, such as Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) and indigestion. GERD is a digestive disorder in which acid from the stomach flows back into the oesophagus, leading to symptoms like heartburn, chest discomfort, and acid regurgitation. It contains a combination of omeprazole and domperidone, making it more effective in certain cases where omeprazole alone is not sufficient.
Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach, thereby relieving acid-related symptoms and protecting the stomach lining. Domperidone is a prokinetic agent that helps improve the movement of the stomach and intestines, relieving symptoms like nausea, bloating, and a feeling of fullness. Together, these two ingredients manage both acid reflux and digestive discomfort.
Omee D Capsule should be taken as directed by your doctor, usually twice a day before meals, and for the prescribed duration, typically 4 to 8 weeks. For best results, it is recommended to take the medication at least 30 minutes before eating. Patients should avoid self-medicating and consult their healthcare provider if symptoms persist or worsen. It is also important to inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking, especially blood thinners, anti-seizure drugs, or antifungals, as these may interact with Omee D.
While the medicine is generally well-tolerated, some individuals may experience mild side effects such as headache, nausea, diarrhoea, or dry mouth. If any unusual or severe reactions happen, you should seek medical advice as soon as possible. For best results, take this medication at least 30 minutes before meals.
