Medical Description
Montas-L tablet is a medication used to treat the symptoms of allergic rhinitis, such as a runny and congested nose, respiratory blockages, sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and other allergic reactions. It is a combination medicine that contains montelukast and levocetirizine. It works by preventing the release of chemical substances, such as histamines and leukotrienes, which are responsible for causing allergic symptoms.
Common side effects of Montas-L tablet include nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, dry mouth, headache, skin rash, flu-like symptoms, and fatigue. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience any concerns about these side effects. This medicine may cause dizziness and sleepiness, so avoid driving or engaging in activities that require mental focus until you know how it affects you.
Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine. Don't self-medicate or recommend this medicine to others. Inform your doctor before taking this medicine if you have kidney disease.
Montelukast may cause mood changes, depression, agitation, or thoughts of self-harm. Watch for unusual changes in behavior or thoughts, and stop the medicine immediately if these occur. For allergic rhinitis, it should only be used when other treatments are ineffective or intolerable.
