Uses
- Anxiset Plus is used to treat anxiety disorders.
Contraindications
- If you are allergic or hypersensitive to benzodiazepines, selective reuptake inhibitors (SSRI), escitalopram, clonazepam or other inactive substances present in Anxiset Plus.
- If you take any depression medicines that belong to the monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI) class. Taking MAOIs and Anxiset Plus together can lead to increased side effects and life-threatening situations. It is recommended that a gap of at least 14 days be maintained between stopping an MAOI antidepressant and beginning therapy with Anxiset Plus.
- If you are taking Pimozide, a medicine used to treat psychosis. Taking Pimozide with Anxiset Plus can increase the risk of heart rhythm disorders.
- If you have active liver disease, taking Anxiset can worsen your condition.
- If you have acute angle glaucoma, a condition in which the iris of the eye bulges forward and narrows the drainage angle. Anxiset plus can worsen this condition.

Other General Warnings
- You have a history of seizure disorders. Anxiset Plus should be used with extreme caution in patients who have a history of seizure disorders, as it can increase the risk of recurrent seizures. This medicine should be immediately stopped if you develop seizures or notice an increase in the frequency of seizures.
- You feel pressure in your eyes. People with glaucoma have an increased risk of developing adverse side effects and should be monitored closely.
- You have respiratory disorders. People with a known history of respiratory disorders should avoid taking this medicine. Taking Anxiset Plus can worsen their condition. However, if this medicine is prescribed, the lungs should be monitored closely and a replacement be provided in case the affected individual does not respond well to the treatment.
- You are a child under 18 years of age.
Directions for Use
- Anxiset Plus must be taken as and when directed by your doctor.
- Take the pill at the same time every day to ensure that a constant level of medication is maintained in the blood. This also avoids the chances of missing the drug.
- Swallow the pill whole with a glass of water.
- Do not break, crush or chew the tablet; this can reduce its efficacy.
- This medicine can be taken with or without food.
- Do not take more medicine than what your doctor has recommended since Anxiset Plus is a mildly habit-forming medication.
- Do not stop taking the medicine without consulting your doctor.

- Cimetidine (used to treat stomach acidity and peptic ulcers)
- CYP2C19 Inhibitors (amitriptyline, fluconazole, clomipramine)
- CYP450 Inducers (rifampin, phenytoin, phenobarbital)
- Triptans (medicines used to treat migraine attacks or cluster headaches)
Interactions with food items
- Food doesn’t influence the effect of Anxiset Plus. However, inform your doctor about any supplements or herbal drinks you take before beginning your Anxiset Plus regime.
