- As an Anxiolytic agent- Indicated in treating anxiety associated with depression and panic disorder
Contraindications
- If you have allergies or hypersensitivity reactions to alprazolam or any other ingredients in Alpraquil 0.25 mg tablets
- Glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye)

Directions for Use
- Always take the Alpraquil 0.25 mg tablet exactly as directed by your doctor
- You can take an Alpraquil 0.25 mg tablet with or without food
- Swallow Alpraquil 0.25 mg tablet with a glass of water. Do not chew or crush it
- Read the label instructions carefully
- Dosage should be taken in recommended amounts at a particular time in a day to get maximum benefits and desired clinical effect

Interactions with other medicines
- To avoid undesirable side effects associated with drug interaction, inform your doctor about all medicines and supplements you are currently taking.
- Alpraquil 0.25 mg tablet can cause adverse reactions when taken with the following medicines:
- Interaction with opioids like morphine, codeine, and hydrocodone can increase the risk of sedation respiratory problems because of the additive central nervous system (CNS) depressant effects
- Interaction with other antipsychotic medicines and benzodiazepines like lorazepam, diazepam can increase the risk and severity of side effects.
- Interaction with antifungal agents like Ketoconazole itraconazole increases the plasma concentration of Alpraquil 0.25 mg tablet
Interactions with food items
- Some may suggest avoiding caffeine-containing beverages like coffee tea as they may reduce the calming effect of this medicine
