Medical Description

Urimax D tablet is used in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. This medicine contains a combination of tamsulosin and dutasteride as active ingredients. Tamsulosin works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and urethra (the tube that carries urine outside the body), while dutasteride helps reduce the size of the enlarged prostate. This allows the proper flow of urine and helps in proper urination and emptying of the bladder.

Take Urimax D tablet in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. Do not take more than the recommended dose. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of its components. Before taking Urimax D tablet, inform your doctor about your complete medical history. Also, inform the doctor about all other medicines and supplements you take. Urimax D tablet is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age. This medicine is not meant to be used for the treatment of prostate cancer.

Tamsulosin and dutasteride are also active ingredients in the medications Veltam Plus tablet, Flodart Plus tablet, Tamdura capsule, Flokind D tablet and Dutas T Plus tablet. T
