Medical Description

Tamdura capsules are used to treat Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH) in men. It contains a combination of Tamsulosin and Dutasteride, which work together to reduce the size of the enlarged prostate and relax the muscles of the bladder and prostate. This eases symptoms such as difficulty passing urine, frequent urination and inability to empty the bladder.

Tamsulosin and Dutasteride are also active ingredients in the medications Veltam Plus tablet, Flodart Plus tablet, Urimax D tablet, Flokind D tablet and Dutas T Plus tablet. Take Tamdura capsules in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. Do not take more than the recommended dose. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of its components. Before taking Tamdura capsules, inform your doctor about your complete medical history. Also, inform the doctor about all other medicines and supplements you take. Tamdura capsule is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age. This medicine is not meant to be used for the treatment of prostate cancer.

If you have a liver disorder or liver function problem.
If you are allergic to soya and peanut.
If you experience giddiness or fall when you gradually get up from a sitting position.

Some medicines can affect the way Tamdura Strip Of 10 Capsules works, or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
Avoid taking this medicine along with Ketoconazole, Paroxetine, Verapamil, Diltiazem as there can be increased chances of side effects.
Your blood pressure can reduce if you are taking blood pressure-lowering medicines, you are on anaesthesia or taking sildenafil, prazosin along Tamdura Strip Of 10 Capsules.
Long term use of this medicine with Ritonavir, Indinavir, Nefazodone, Itraconazole, Ketoconazole should be avoided.
Other medicines like Cimetidine, Diclofenac, Warfarin should not be used if you are taking Tamdura Strip Of 10 Capsules.
