Trinex tablet is a prescription medicine used to treat schizophrenia and schizophrenia‐like illnesses. Schizophrenia is a mental disorder characterised by hallucinations, delusions, and extremely dis

ordered thinking and behaviour episodes. Trinex tablets can also be used to treat non-psychotic anxiety disorder. Trinex tablet is a combination medicine that contains Trifluoperazine and Trihexyphenidyl (Benzhexol Hydrochloride) as the main ingredients. This medicine works by affecting the levels of specific chemical messengers, which improve mood, thoughts, and behaviour. Trinex tablets should be taken in dosage and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor, as it can cause clinical worsening of your condition or may lead to withdrawal-like symptoms. The common side effects of Trinex tablets are nausea, constipation, sleepiness, dizziness, abdominal pain, dry mouth, and weight gain.

  • Take the Trinex tablet as prescribed by the doctor.
  • Take Trinex tablet with or without food or as prescribed.

A: Trinex tablet may cause dizziness and fainting while getting up from bed from a lying position. Hence, stand up slowly from the lying position.
