Medical Description
Thalix capsule is a prescription oral medicine used to treat multiple myeloma (a type of blood cancer) and erythema nodosum leprosum (ENL), a painful inflammatory complication of leprosy.
Treatment with Thalix capsule requires medical supervision by a hematologist or oncologist. Because this medication carries a risk of nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy), deep vein thrombosis (blood clots), and excessive sleepiness, regular clinical monitoring and laboratory tests are required throughout the course of therapy.
Patients must be fully informed about the safety protocols associated with this medicine, including the risk of severe birth defects, nerve damage in the hands and feet, blood clots, and skin reactions. Close communication with your healthcare team is necessary to manage side effects and ensure you follow safety guidelines.
