Skizoril 200 MG Description
Skizoril 200 mg tablet is a prescription medicine indicated for patients who have Schizophrenia. It is a type of mental illness in which a person has hallucinations and cannot differentiate between r
eality and imaginary life. Skizoril tablets have Clozapine as the main ingredient. Clozapine belongs to a group of drugs known as atypical antipsychotics. It works by regulating certain chemicals in the brain that help relieve the symptoms. Side effects of Skizoril tablets include Drowsiness, Dizziness, Dry mouth, Restlessness, Headache, Constipation, Fainting etc. The tablet can only be taken after a doctor’s recommendation. A proper schedule and dosage needs to be followed. Skizoril can affect the blood cell count. The patient has to get the blood tests done frequently to keep a check on blood count. Skizoril tablets are also associated with heart disease, specifically myocarditis. Given the probability of such side effects, Skizoril is only prescribed when all other options of antipsychotics are exhausted.
