Olmixtro Tablet is an antihypertensive medicine used to treat high blood pressure. It contains olmesartan as its main ingredient. This medicine works by relaxing and widening of the blood vessels to

Contraindications of Olmixtro 20 MG

If you are allergic to olmesartan or any other ingredients of Olmixtro Tablet.
If you are pregnant for more than 3 months
If you have jaundice or have problems with your gallbladder
If you have diabetes
If you are suffering from any kidney disease
If you are taking any medicine containing aliskiren

Pregnancy

Can I take Olmixtro Tablet during pregnancy?

You should not take Olmixtro Tablet during pregnancy or if you are planning to have a baby as it may cause harm to your unborn baby. If you become pregnant while taking this medicine, discontinue the treatment and immediately consult your doctor.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Olmixtro Tablet while breastfeeding?

Olmixtro Tablet is not recommended while breastfeeding as it is unknown if olmesartan passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before using it during breastfeeding.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Olmixtro Tablet?

Olmixtro Tablet may make you dizzy or tired, thus you need to be cautious while driving or operating machines.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Olmixtro Tablet?

You should avoid consuming alcohol while taking Olmixtro Tablet.

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if

You have very low blood pressure
You have problems with your heart, kidney or liver
You develop any allergic reaction after taking Olmixtro Tablet
You have severe diarrhoea or/and vomiting
You have diabetes
You are on treatment with high doses of water pills (furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide)
You are on a low-salt diet
Your doctor has told you that you have high blood potassium levels
You have problems with your adrenal glands
You are above 65 years old.
You are pregnant, think you may be or are planning to have a baby.
You are taking other medicines to treat high blood pressure like ramipril, lisinopril, aliskiren, etc
