- As per CDSCO Mitpin 7.5 mg Tablet is used in,
- Treatment of depression.
Contraindications
- If you feel allergic or have a history of allergic reaction to active or inactive components of Mitpin 7.5 mg Tablet.
- If you are currently taking Monoamine oxidase inhibitors or MAOI or have taken them in the last 14 days.

- You have self-harmful thoughts and suicidal inclinations after taking Mitpin 7.5 mg Tab.
- You want to discontinue the use of Mitpin 7.5 mg Tablet. Sudden discontinuation can cause withdrawal symptoms like dizziness, odd dreams, restlessness, anxiety, tremors, etc.
- You have a heart ailment. The medication may exacerbate the condition.
- You have eye problems or angle-closure glaucoma.
- Mitpin 7.5 mg Tablet may increase your appetite and cause you to gain weight. So, you must monitor your weight, eat healthy, and exercise regularly.
- Mitpin 7.5 mg Tablet may induce a movement disorder characterised by restlessness and a strong desire to move constantly.
Directions for Use
- Mitpin 7.5 mg Tablets are usually prescribed once per day at bedtime. It can be taken with or without meals.
- Take Mitpin 7.5 mg Tablet, as your doctor says. Do not consume less or more of it or consume it more frequently than your doctor has allowed.
- Mitpin Tablet will break down on the tongue, and you can swallow it with saliva. You don’t need water to take dissolving pills.
- Take the Mitpin Tablet immediately after taking it out from the blister pack.
- Do not break or crush Mitpin 7.5 mg Tablet.
- Do not stop taking Mitpin 7.5 mg Tablet without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better. Your doctor will most likely reduce your dose progressively.

Interactions with other medicines
- To avoid side effects associated with medicine interaction, it is important to inform the doctor about all medicines and health supplements you are currently taking.
- Mitpin 7.5 mg Tablet may have interaction with the following medications, and cause an increase in weight and appetite, dry mouth, and sleepiness.
- Anti-TB medications, including rifampicin
- Antibiotics including linezolid, erythromycin
- Antihypertensive like metoprolol
- Antidepressants such as tranylcypromine, selegiline, moclobemide, and escitalopram
- Anti-fungal like ketoconazole
- Pain killer including acetaminophen, morphine, and tramadol
- Antianxiety medications such as alprazolam

- There are no known adverse interactions between Mitpin 7.5 mg Tablet and food. However, seek medical advice before consuming Mitpin 7.5 mg Tablet.
