Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Diuretics when given with minocycline may aggravate toxicity in the kidney by volume depletion
- Minocycline, when administered with ergotamine or ergometrine, may increase the risk of ergotism
- Minocycline, when used with oral contraceptives, may induce hyperpigmentation
- Concomitant use of retinoids during minocycline therapy has been associated with an increased risk of benign intracranial hypertension
- Plasma prothrombin activity of anticoagulants is reduced in the presence of tetracycline antibiotics
