  • This medicine is mainly used for fever and also for relieving mild to moderate pains. Most of the times, it is given along with other medications for fever, stomach pains, ear pains, cold, etc.

  • Having kidney or liver disease.

Paracetamol passes through breastfeeding in very small amounts to the baby. It can be taken during nursing as per the physician instruction.

One does not face any difficulty in driving if the doses of paracetamol are taken as per the instructions.


Can I consume alcohol with the medicine?
As alcohol is known to damage liver and also one of the major side effects of paracetamol is also liver damage, it will be not advisable to consume alcohol.

How Does It Work?

During pain and fever or in any illness, the body releases a chemical known as prostaglandins. Paracetamol blocks the production of these prostaglandins and, in turn, makes the body less aware of the pain. Paracetamol also acts on the area of the brain which is involved with control of temperatures, thus helping in controlling fever.
