- As per CDSCO, Hypnofast 5mg Injection 1ml is used for the treatment of:
- Preoperative sedation
- Induction of general anaesthesia
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to Midazolam
- If you have narrow-angle glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye)
- If you have low blood pressure or shock-like condition
- If you are an older adult over 60 years of age
- If you are pregnant
- If you are breastfeeding
- If you have severe kidney or liver disease
- If you have a history of drug abuse

Interactions with other medicines
- Interaction of Hypnofast 5mg Injection 1ml with pain killers, such as morphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, hydrocodone, tramadol, and codeine, may lead to extreme sedation and drowsiness.
- Hypnofast 5mg Injection 1ml should not be used concomitantly with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) like isocarboxazid, linezolid, methylene blue, selegiline, rasagiline, etc. as they can cause serious side effects like decreased breathing, low heart rate, etc.
- Interaction with ketoconazole, fluconazole, and itraconazole increase the plasma concentrations of Hypnofast 5mg Injection 1ml .
- Interaction with other benzodiazepines potentiates the anaesthetic effects of Hypnofast 5mg Injection 1ml .
