Glimestar M 2mg Strip Of 10 Tablets
Medical Description
Glimestar M2 tablet is prescribed to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is an oral medication that combines glimepiride and metformin to manage blood sugar levels. Glimepiride stimulates insulin production in the pancreas, facilitating glucose transportation from the blood to cells. On the other hand, metformin curbs sugar production in the liver and absorption in the intestine.
Zoryl M 2 tablet, Gemer 2 tablet, Amaryl M2 tablet, Glycomet GP 2 tablet and Gluconorm G 2 tablet are some more medications that combine metformin and glimepiride.
Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a condition in which your pancreas does not make enough insulin to control blood sugar levels and your body is also unable to efficiently use its insulin. This causes high blood sugar levels in your body, which can cause medical problems like heart disease, kidney disease, blindness and poor blood flow in your hands and legs.
Glimestar M2 tablet lowers the raised blood sugar levels. You should take this medicine in the exact dose and duration as your doctor advises. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own. You must exercise regularly and have a balanced diet while taking this medicine for adequate control of your blood sugar levels.
