stines, liver, private parts, etc. It also helps to treat dental infections and is also used to prevent an infection after surgery. Dazole Suspension contains metronidazole as its active ingredient. You should complete the entire treatment with this medicine and not stop it mid-way on your own without consulting your doctor.

Uses of Dazole 200 MG

Dazole Suspension is used in treating infections of the skin, lungs, heart, stomach, liver, intestines, joints, bones, private parts, etc. It is also helpful for treating dental infections.
It is also used to prevent an infection after a surgery or an operation.

Contraindications of Dazole 200 MG

If you are allergic to metronidazole or any other ingredients of Dazole Suspension.
If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant.
If you are a breastfeeding mother.

Pregnancy

Can I take Dazole Suspension during pregnancy?

You should consult your doctor before using Dazole Suspension as there is limited information about its safety during pregnancy. Your doctor will only prescribe you this medicine if considered essential after assessing the benefits over risks.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Dazole Suspension while breastfeeding?

Metronidazole passes into breastmilk. Thus, Dazole Suspension should be avoided by lactating mothers. When using this medicine for a longer duration, your doctor may advise you to discontinue breastfeeding for 12 to 24 hours after single-dose treatment. You should consult a doctor before using this medicine while breastfeeding.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Dazole Suspension?

Dazole Suspension may cause drowsiness, dizziness, confusion, hallucinations, fits or temporary visual disturbances like blurred vision. Thus, you should be cautious or avoid driving if you do not feel well or are unable to be alert.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Dazole Suspension?

You must not consume alcohol along with Dazole Suspension and for 48 hours after treatment with this medicine as it may produce side effects like nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, headaches, hot flashes and palpitations.

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if

You have problems with your liver.
You are on dialysis.
You are suffering from any nervous system disorders.
You experience any blood disorder, anaemia and abnormal blood count.
You do not notice any improvement in your condition after using Dazole Suspension.
Do not use Dazole Suspension for any other conditions other than that specified by your doctor.

How Does It Work?

Metronidazole is an antiprotozoal and antibacterial agent that produces free radicals and damages the cells and DNA of protozoa, killing the infection-causing microorganisms.
