Uses
- Cromida Forte tablet is used in the management of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
Contraindications
- Do not take Cromida Forte tablets or take with caution:
- If you are hypersensitive to Chlordiazepoxide, Clidinium, Dicyclomine or any other ingredients in this tablet.
- If you have angle-closure glaucoma.
- If you are under 6 or over 75.
- If you are under 65 but have underlying comorbidities
- If you have any heart disease; this medication can worsen cardiovascular conditions and is contraindicated to such persons.
- If you have an enlarged prostate, suffer from urinary retention, or other obstructive urinary conditions.
- If you have a lung disorder like respiratory failure, sleep apnea, or other conditions of respiratory insufficiency.
- If you have liver dysfunction; this medicine is contraindicated to such persons.
- If you have myasthenia gravis; it is contraindicated to such persons.
- If you have ulcerative colitis, reflux esophagitis, and obstructive gastrointestinal conditions.

- You take other medications; this tablet interacts with many other medications that use the same metabolic enzymes.

Directions for Use
- This medication should be taken as prescribed by the treating physician.
- It is recommended to take this medication on a regular schedule. It is advised to take the tablet at the same time every day; this will ensure optimal effects and lower chances of side effects.
- Swallow this medication as a whole. Do not crush, chew or break this tablet.
- Abrupt stoppage of the medicine can cause withdrawal effects. Consult your doctor before stopping this medication.
- Driving or use of heavy machinery is not advised while using this medication.
- Inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking, so they can check for any possible medicine interaction.

Interactions with other medicines
- This medication should not be used with central nervous system (CNS) depressants like opioids; this can be life-threatening.
- This medication should not be mixed with other benzodiazepines.
- It should not be used with antacids; this decreases the absorption of Cromide Forte.
- The concomitant use of this medication with anti-glaucoma agents decreases the efficacy of eye medicines, causing an increase in intraocular pressure.
- Atropine-like substances can worsen the side effects of Cromide Forte like urinary retention, glaucoma, constipation, dry mouth, etc.
