Mode of Action

How Does It Work?

Clonil Tablet has clomipramine as its active substance. It is a tricyclic antidepressant medicine. It works by stopping the reuptake of chemical messengers like noradrenaline and serotonin, neurotransmitters present at the end of the nerve cells in the brain. By preventing their reuptake, the effects of these messengers last longer. This regulates the mood and helps manage depression.
