Medical Description
Ciplox D eye ointment is a combination medicine used to treat inflammation and swelling in the eyes, especially after surgery or operations. It is also effective in preventing bacterial infections that may occur in the eyes. This helps promote faster healing and reduces the risk of complications following eye procedures.
The active ingredients in Ciplox D eye ointment are dexamethasone and ciprofloxacin. Dexamethasone is a steroid that helps reduce swelling, redness, and irritation in the eyes, while ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic that stops the growth of bacteria, preventing or treating infections. Together, they help manage post-operative eye conditions effectively.
Use Ciplox D eye ointment exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Apply the correct dose at the recommended frequency and complete the full course, even if your symptoms improve earlier. Stopping the medicine prematurely may reduce its effectiveness and increase the risk of infection or prolonged inflammation.
Before using this eye ointment, discuss your medical history with your doctor, especially if you have other eye problems or conditions. Also, inform your doctor about any other medicines you are currently using to avoid potential interactions or complications.
While using Ciplox D eye ointment, you may experience temporary discomfort such as mild stinging or burning in the eyes. If you notice severe irritation, persistent redness, or no improvement in your symptoms, contact your doctor immediately for guidance. Proper use ensures faster recovery and protects your eyes from infections.
