- If you have an allergic reaction to tramadol or any component of Supridol injection

- If you have intestinal obstructions, like paralytic ileus. Supridol injection worsens the condition
- If you are suffering from breathing issues like asthma and other lung conditions

- Not for children below 17 years of age, as this injection contains tramadol, an opioid that is contraindicated in children

Interactions with other medicines
- Do not take the Supridol injection if you are using other similar opioid pain medications, as they can cause serious adverse effects
- Do not take Supridol injection if you are on antidepressants such as linezolid, naltrexone, methylene blue, etc. (MAO inhibitors). They can increase the severity of side effects like drowsiness, dizziness, tremors, lethargy, vomitings, etc....
- Do not take Supridol injection with antihistamines (allergy medicines) like cetirizine and diphenhydramine, muscle relaxants, sleeping pills, etc., as they can increase the effect of drowsiness.
