- If you have intestinal obstructions, like paralytic ileus. Supridol injection worsens the condition

How Does It Work?
Supridol injection contains tramadol as its active ingredient. It is an opioid pain reliever. It acts on the nervous system. Tramadol works by stopping the transmission of pain signals from nerves in the brain to the place of injury. It blocks these pain pathways in the nervous system by binding certain receptors. It also increases the production of norepinephrine and serotonin, the chemical messengers responsible for reducing pain and inducing a calming effect in the body.
Tramadol also mimics the action of endorphins, the chemical substance in the brain and spinal cord that elevates mood and reduces pain....
Directions for Use of Supridol 50 MG
- Supridol injection can be taken before or after consuming food
- This injection should be administered by a doctor or a healthcare professional
- The injection can be given intramuscularly or via slow infusion intravenously (into a vein)
- Wash hands carefully before using this medicine
- Shake the vial before using it
- Clean the site of injection with rubbing alcohol before injecting

- Do not take the Supridol injection if you are using other similar opioid pain medications, as they can cause serious adverse effects
- Do not take Supridol injection if you are on antidepressants such as linezolid, naltrexone, methylene blue, etc. (MAO inhibitors). They can increase the severity of side effects like drowsiness, dizziness, tremors, lethargy, vomitings, etc....
- Do not take Supridol injection with antihistamines (allergy medicines) like cetirizine and diphenhydramine, muscle relaxants, sleeping pills, etc., as they can increase the effect of drowsiness.

Overdose

In case of Supridol injection overdose, seek immediate medical treatment from the nearest medical centre....
Missed a Dose
If you are taking this injection at home and have missed a dose of Supridol injection, you can take it as soon as you remember. But, skip the missed injection if it's already time for the next injection. Do not take two doses of this injection at a time, as it can lead to an overdose.
