Serepose 1 mg tablet is a combination of two medicines: Trifluoperazine and Chlordiazepoxide. Trifluoperazine belongs to the class of typical antipsychotics. Chlordiazepoxide belongs to the benzodiaz
epines group of sedatives and hypnotics. This medicine is primarily used to treat schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a condition characterised by symptoms like delirium, hallucinations, and abnormal thinking process. Serepose 1 mg tablet should be taken at a dose and for a duration as prescribed by your doctor. It should be taken at a particular time of the day to maintain the levels of chemical substances in the brain. However, if you have missed a dose, you should take it as soon as you remember it. You should avoid skipping a dose. You should not stop taking the medicine abruptly as it can lead to withdrawal symptoms like nausea, vomiting, sleeplessness, and fatigue. Some of the most common side effects of the medicine are dryness of the mouth, constipation, menstrual abnormalities, headache, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, and low blood pressure. These side effects are mild and should not disrupt your day-to-day life activities. However, if these side effects bother you, you should consult your doctor. - You experience convulsions even after taking this medicine. Alternative medicine may be prescribed to control any future episodes of seizure.

- Anti-malaria medication (Quinidine) as the combination can cause abnormalities in the heart.
- Medicines used to treat urine incontinence (darifenacin, fesoterodine, oxybutynin, tolterodine) as they become ineffective in the presence of Serepose 1 mg tablets.
- Bronchodilators (ipratropium or tiotropium) as it can increase the chances of tremors.
- Antihistamines (cetirizine) as they cause drowsiness.
- Antiarrhythmics (propafenone, flecainide) as the combination can increase the chances of palpitations and abnormalities in the heart rhythm.
- Antifungals (ketoconazole) as Serepose 1 mg tablets decrease the efficacy of the medicine.
- Antacids (Cimetidine, Omeprazole) as it decreases the absorption of the Serepose 1 mg tablets.
- Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (Isocarboxazid, Phenelzine, Selegiline) should not be combined with Serepose 1 mg tablets as it can worsen the symptoms of low blood pressure and can lead to coma(state of unconsciousness)....
