Uses of Rcifax 100 MG
- Hepatic encephalopathy (liver dysfunction)
- Traveler’s diarrhea
- Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)(stomach pain, cramping, constipation)
Contraindications of Rcifax 100 MG
- If you are allergic to rifaximin, rifampin, rifapentine or rifabutin
- Bloody diarrhoea
- Diarrhoea that is not because of bacteria (such as viral diarrhoea)
- Diarrhoea with fever
- Liver disease
- If you are suffering from stomach pain, constipation or blockage in the bowel

Mode of Action of Rcifax 100 MG
How Does It Work?
It is not absorbed into bloodstream while passing through the stomach and intestines.Rcifax Suspension 60ml is used for treating bacterial infections present in the intestine. It acts by binding to the beta-subunit of bacterial DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, resulting in blocking of transcription thus bacterial growth is prevented and existing ones are killed by immunity or when their lifecycle ends....
Directions for Use of Rcifax 100 MG
- Shake syrup well before its use.
- Dose and duration should be taken as per physician advice.
- Measure the syrup using measuring cup and take it orally.
- Better to take after food.

Interactions with other medicines
- Rifaximin may interact with other medications such as azithromycin, diltiazem, warfarin, erythromycin
- anti-fungal medications,ciclosporin.
- May also interact with BCG and cholera vaccines.
