R Don Plus Tab is an antipsychotic medication primarily prescribed to treat schizophrenia and manic episodes (irritable mood, suicidal thoughts). Schizophrenia is a brain condition affecting how the brain processes information. The condition makes you lose touch with reality. You may see, hear, or believe things that are not true.
The R Don Plus Tab consists of two medicines, Risperidone and Trihexyphenidyl. Risperidone belongs to a class of drugs called ‘atypical antipsychotics. Risperidone decreases dopaminergic and serotonergic activity in the brain, which reduces symptoms of schizophrenia and mood disorder. Trihexyphenidyl belongs to a class of medicines called antimuscarinic drugs, which act on the nervous system to correct some of the imbalances that cause Parkinson's disease and reduce some side effects caused by antipsychotic medication (Risperidone).
R Don Plus Tab is available in the form of oral tablets that are dissolved in water and taken two times per day. Your doctor will determine your dosage based on your health and condition. In some cases, R Don Plus Tab can cause side effects like nausea, constipation, dry mouth, weight gain, sleepiness, orthostatic hypotension (the sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing), and nervousness. Usually, these side effects of R Don Plus Tab do not require medical attention and gradually disappear over time. However, if these side effects persist longer than usual, you should consult your doctor.

Contraindications
- You should not take R Don Plus Tab:
- If you have an allergy to any of the components of R Don Plus Tab
- If you have Depression
- If you have Narrow-angle glaucoma (condition of the cornea of the eye that affects vision)
- If you suffer from Liver Disease
- If you suffer from Kidney Disease
- If you suffer from Seizure disorders (fits)
- If you have high blood pressure
- If you are more than or 65 years of age
- If you suffer from heart diseases
- If you have hyperlipidemia (increase level of lipids or cholesterol)
Side effects
- Common side effects associated with R Don Plus Tab include

Dosage
Overdose
In cases of overdose, Central Nervous System excitability may be observed, and symptoms of a neurological and cardiovascular nature may occur. The symptoms that may occur due to overdose, ranging in severity from mild to severe, are drowsiness, confusion, problems with coordination, and loss of consciousness. Therefore, medical help should be sought as soon as possible in case of an overdose of R Don Plus Tab.
Missed a Dose
If one misses a dose, one should take the missed dose as soon as one remembers. Or, if it’s time for the next dose, one should continue with the regular dosage and should not take the missed dosage plus the usual dosage, leading to an overdose.

- Medications used to treat an irregular heartbeat such as disopyramide
- Medications used to treat Parkinson's disease like levodopa
- Medications used to treat viral infections such as amantadine
- Medicine for treating some infections such as rifampicin
- Medicines used to treat epilepsy like carbamazepine, phenytoin
- Medicines used to treat certain types of heart disease such as quinidine
- R Don Plus Tab if taken with these medicines can have interaction and lead to adverse effects on the body. Some cases may require emergency hospitalization. Sometimes the presence of these medicines may interact with R Don Plus Tab and decrease the efficacy of either.
