Uses
- As per CDSCO, Pexep Cr tablets are used for managing the symptoms of major depression.
- It is used in Obsessive compulsive disorder (improves behaviour)
- It is also used in managing Panic disorder.

- You are an elderly person over the age of 65 years, the dose of this medicine should be carefully monitored to prevent serious side effects.
- If you have a known liver or kidney disease.
- You have a heart condition.
- You have a surgical or dental procedure planned.
- You are using any ayurvedic or herbal medicines or supplements like St john's wort, talk to your doctor first to avoid any interactions as some of them can cause serious side effects.
- You have sudden mood changes.
Directions for Use
- Take the Pexep Cr tablet in the exact dosage and at the same time every day.
- Do not exceed the dosage, even if you cannot notice its effects.
- You can take pexep Cr tablet with or without consuming food.
- Take the tablet (whole) with a glass of water.
- Do not break or chew this tablet.
- Do not take Pexep Cr with other medications without informing your doctor.
- Do not suddenly stop taking pexep Cr medication, as it can have adverse effects

- Pexep Cr tablet overdose can cause dizziness, tremors, agitation, convulsion, nausea, vomiting, and electrolyte imbalance, changes in heart rate, difficulty walking, aggressive behaviour, changes in appetite, unusual bleeding, liver problems, muscle pain or stiffness, etc. If you overdose on Pexep Cr tablet and experience any of these symptoms, immediately seek emergency medical treatment from a nearby hospital.

Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Other anti-anxiety and mood disorder or Anti-depression medication (MAO inhibitors like linezolid, methylene blue, etc) can have interactions and can cause some serious reactions.
- Using certain medicines like anti allergy medicine (cetrizine), cold or cough medication, sleeping pills (like alprazolam, diazepam), muscle relaxants, Opiates or narcotic pain relievers like codeine or tramadol, with Pexep Cr tablets can increase the drowsiness.
- If you are on anti-epileptic medicines for seizure disorders, inform your doctor as it can change the effects of this medication.
- There are many other medications like certain antibiotics, nausea medicine, medications for mental illnesses, etc can interact with Pexep Cr tablets, which can effect their removal from the body.
- Medicines like Thioridazine, Aspirin, blood thinners (like warfarin), etc can interact with this medicine and cause increased bleeding.
- Herbal products like St john’s wort and certain antidepressants like fluoxetine, when used with this medicine can cause serotonin overdose, which can lead to life threatening side effects.
